The Fame Game 
 
Did you think immortality would come 
With the setting of the sun 
Did you think fame was the only game to be played? 
When you woke up bet you were dismayed 
 
Arrogance breed's impotence 
And that's what you show 
Your fame brought you riches  
But you still don't know 
 
Fame brought you nothing but money 
And the false taste of honey 
But fame was not that sweet 
It's hard to admit that defeat 
 
You see you ran up the hill of fame so fast 
You never realised it might not last 
The run down would be so painful 
The run down would be just as fast 
 
 
I started off writing this with Liam Gallagher (Oasis lead singer) in mind, and then half way through lost the thread. I also half had Michael Jackson in my head too. I think so many people are utterly desperate for fame for fame's sake these days. We now live in the pop idol - pop stars culture. Rarely do these people stop to question that once they get there it might not be all that it seems. I don't think fame can automatically equal happiness and success.
